Sovita Corkin, fitness trainer and mother of two
Hi, I am a wife and mother to two busy little girls aged 5 and 3. I have always had a little obsession with all things Fitness, and 11 years ago I turned that obsession into a profession and completed an Exercise Science and Prescription qualification and became a Personal Trainer.
I have been in the Health and Fitness industry for 10 years, initially working full time as a Personal Trainer, taking a break after 4 years to have my girls, and more recently coaching CrossFit at CrossFit Central Wellington for the past five years. I am also the founder of the ‘Fitter Faster Stronger’ product, a five-week Women’s only training program that has been successfully running since 2011. I have been the recipient of a Fitness Life Up and Coming Personal Trainer award and have contributed and appeared in the NZ Fitness Life magazine twice.
In 2016 I competed in the Crossfit Open. I won 3 of 5 events and finished first overall in New Zealand for females aged 40-44. Results can be viewed here.
